Why Ronaldo Is Pissed OFF

Image
Cristiano Ronaldo was recently brought into “the league of tax evaders” in Spain, which already has two elite members – Neymar, Messi. By the looks of how thing are boiling up , the multiple European champion looks certainly pissed off and reportedly wants to leave Spain.  Lionel Messi was charged last year for defrauding Spain of €4.1m in unpaid taxes on his image rights controlled by two offshore companies in Belize and Uruguay. He and his Father got a sentence of 21 months each and per Spanish customs were able to avoid going to jail as first time offenders and their jail term not exceeding 2yrs.  Neymar too is facing a tax probe in an alleged wrong doing towards a contractual party regarding his transfer fee and that could also land him in similar charges as Messi. Cristiano is facing similar charges as Messi for allegedly evading tax of about €14.7m between 2011 and 2014 via an alleged shell company called “Tollin Associates “registered in the British Virgin Islands. HE IS BACK AND THIS TIME DIFFERENT

Image
Ghana’s favourite son is back or should I say Kotoko’s star boy is back. Judging from the poor management of Ghana’s former coach - Avram Grant, It was imperative that Ghanaian fans will turn on him . Coach Avram Grant’s stay in Ghana as the head coach of the senior side and earning close to about 250,000 cedis was seen as greedy and wicked by ordinary citizens who hardly made any income in the supposedly corrupt Government, that was sent packing in the 2016 general elections. Avram Grant left the coaching position and the Country in the first week of February,2017 after repeated speculations that he was going to be fired within that month – could say he prevented a major career disgrace!  Avram Grant will surely not be missed by Ghanaians in anyway ,but one person who’s exit from the senior national side was missed by most Ghanaians in the “Don of Grant”  was Ghana’s own James Kwesi Appiah ,who managed the senior side from 2012-2014 and went into the record books as the first...

Conte happy for Hazard to put team first

Image
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte wants playmaker Eden Hazard to keep putting the needs of the team ahead of his own personal glory after his starring role in the FA Cup semifinal win over Tottenham Hotspur. The Belgium international came off the bench to inspire the Blues to a 4-2 win over London rivals Spurs at Wembley on Saturday as Premier League leaders Chelsea stayed on course for a domestic double. Afterwards Chelsea teammate Cesc Fabregas said Hazard was second in ability in the world game only to Barcelona great Lionel Messi and could yet get even better if he was more "selfish" and demonstrated a greater "killer instinct". But Conte was happy with the progress Hazard was making playing just as he is now and that the only way to become a truly great footballer was to put the team first. "The first target for every great champion is to play for the team and to put your talent in the team," Conte said. "I don't think that a player like Messi is a ...

Ghana’s Christian Atsu was among the scorers as Newcastle United crushed Preston North End 4-1 to seal a quick Premier League return. Two goals from Ayoze Perez, another from the Black Stars winger and a Matt Ritchie penalty confirmed promotion for the Toons on Monday night. On the stroke of half-time, Atsu, a Chelsea loanee, put Newcastle back in the lead after Ayoze Perez’s opener was pegged back by Jordan Hugill for the visitors. Matt Ritchie scored from the penalty spot before Perez completed his brace in a space of two minutes to ensure Rafa Benitez’s side join Brighton and Hove Albion in securing automatic qualification from the Championship to the English top-flight for the 2017/18 season. Atsu took to twitter to thank fans for their support: We are happy to secure promotion to the premiership. Big thanks to the fans for their unbelievable support. #GodIsTheReason#GodWin ???????? pic.twitter.com/dPd2HBnCQU — Christian Atsu (@ChristianAtsu20) April 24, 2017...

Mourinho just getting started at United

Image
Manchester United can look forward to "better years" after winning the League Cup and qualifying for the Europa League semifinals, manager Jose Mourinho has said as he begins to take stock of his first season at the Premier League club. It has been a mixed season so far for United, who won their first trophy under Mourinho but also face a fight to finish in the top four of the Premier League and claim an automatic Champions League spot. United can also secure a place in Europe's elite club competition by winning the Europa League, where they face Spanish side Celta Vigo in the first leg of the semifinal on May 4. "I would say this can be the first season of the next five or six or seven. It can be the first season of better years," Mourinho was quoted as saying by Sky Sports. "And the reality is even in the first season of better years we won already and we have already the chance to do good things until the end of the season. "If we manage to win the ...

Image
The captain of the senior national team of Ghana, Asamoah Gyan is part of a group of 40 players in the United Arab Emirates whose hair styles are deemed ‘unethical’ according to the laws of the land. The United Arab Emirates Football Association guidelines permits to a certain degree, the kind of haircut a player gets before taking to the field. One of the most significant stories relating to this issue is when Saudi Arabia goalkeeper Waleed Abdullah was asked by a referee to cut his ‘un-Islamic hairstyle before he was permitted to play. Asamoah Gyan, captain of the Black Stars has a trademark Mohawk hairstyle where he designs his favourite number 3 on either sides of his head. The player has had the look during his  days in England with Premier League club Sunderland. Gyan has also previously played for Al Ain and Shanghai SIPG with the same look. CONFIRMED: Avram Grant resigns from Ghana job

Image
Avram Grant has resigned from his post as Ghana coach, just three weeks to the end of his contract. The Israeli signed a 27-month deal with the Ghana Football Association in November 2014 to succeed James Kwesi Appiah as coach of the Black Stars. According to GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi, Grant had two tasks; to "do well" at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea and to "win" the 2017 edition in Gabon. However, the 61-year-old only managed to secure Runner-up spot in 2015 and fourth place in 2017. "After an extremely amicable meeting with the president of Ghana FA, and following more than two successful years in charge of the national team, I've informed Mr Nyantakyi that time is right for me to move on to a new challenge and I thank him for the opportunity," Grant said, according to Sky Sports. "I've hugely enjoyed my time in Ghana taking over after the disastrous 2014 World Cup campaign and rebuilding the squad to reach the fin...

Avram Grant Set To Leave Ghana After AFCON

Image
Avram Grant Avram Grant has given a strong indication his time as Ghana coach will end after the Africa Cup of Nations. The 61-year-old former Chelsea coach's contract expires at the end of the tournament in Gabon. "I came for two years in Ghana, we extended to two years and three months because we qualified for the Nations Cup," Grant told BBC Sport. "I will always take good memories from here, but hopefully the last memory will be the best one." Leading Ghana to the title in Gabon, and ending the Black Stars' 35-year wait to win the Nations Cup for a fifth time, would be a sensational way for Grant to sign off. And it would help to ease the pain of losing on penalties to Ivory Coast in the final two years ago. Grant's side are on track in Gabon and will book a quarter-finals place if they beat Mali in their second Group D match on Saturday, having defeated Uganda 1-0 in their opener. Regardless of whether Ghana go all the way or contrive to fail to qua...

Image
Paul Pogba has claimed he turned down the chance to join Barcelona and Real Madrid in favour of a move to Manchester United as he felt he had unfinished business at Old Trafford. The France international left Juventus for United in a world-record deal worth almost £90million in August 2016. "I came to Manchester United because I have certain goals. It is a big challenge for me," said Pogba. "I could also have joined Real Madrid or Barcelona, who were interested in signing me. But I chose to return to United. I want to win trophies with Manchester United, I never won anything here. I always told myself that I would one day return to United. It is a club I love a lot and I had unfinished business here." Pogba names three best goals

Image
Paul Pogba has included two goals from his time at Juventus and one from his second Manchester United spell in his personal top three strikes. The France international might have missed out on a nomination for the Puskas Award this year, but he has scored a number of sublime goals throughout his career. He still remembers his best goals fondly and was happy to discuss his own top three. "If it was the Pogba Award, instead of the Puskas Award?," Pogba told the official FIFA website when asked about his best goals. "Third place, because of the technique, would be my volley against Swansea [this season]. This is because of the technique, it was not easy. "Second one, against Napoli for Juventus [in November 2013]. I missed my touch first, the ball went high and I smashed it in. "The first one, my favourite, was against Udinese [in January 2013]. Look it up!" Pogba's finest strike was a stunning long-range strike with the outside of his right boot from 30 ...
